The city of Madrid Spain is known in the country being dominated with various tourists coming from all over the world. Plaza Mayor—during the past 15th century, Plaza Mayor was known as a small market square. And during the period of Philip II Plaza Mayor was rebuilt and became the capital of Madrid. It is in here also where special events are being held such like bullfighting, carnivals and other interesting ceremonies. In 1790, some part of Plaza Mayor was rebuilt due to a fire. Puerta del Sol—the word Puerta means got. The word historically got during the 15th century since it was designated as the main gat of the city. It is as well the easternmost gate under the Habsburg Kings since it is surrounded with monasteries and churches. Puerta del Sol is known also as the geographical centre and the capital of Spain. In the year 1854-62 Puerta del Sol was rebuilt. And in this recent period this part of Madrid is the most famous meeting point and the hub of the city’s transport.

The Parque del Retiro—this part of Madrid has been an important part of the life of the people living in Madrid. It is the best place to go if you were looking for the best place to escape from the bustling part of Madrid.
